Most appraisals can be completed and returned within 4-5 business days. When you leave your item for appraisal, one of our associates will give you an estimate of our current volume and how long we will need the item.
Insurance Appraisals are completed by Mark Snyder. Mark has been in the jewelry industry buying, selling and appraising jewelry for over 20 years. He has completed with honors, The Gemological Institute of America’s, Insurance Replacement Certificate course. He has also achieved a GIA Graduate Diamond degree by completing the GIA Diamond Essentials course, the GIA Diamond & Diamond Grading course & the GIA’s 5-day Diamond Grading Lab.
The normal cost of an Insurance Appraisal for a “typical” jewelry item is $125+. .
Liquidation Quote (for estates, divorces, legal matters)
A basic description of an item, to be used by an attorney, judge or mediator to determine fair market liquidation value to settle a legal matter. While not an offer to purchase, this value would represent a price a seller could currently expect to be paid by a majority of professionals in the jewelry trade.
Cost: $125 per item
Random Evaluation
Sort through jewelry and identify gold, not gold, valuable genuine gemstones from faux gemstones.
